Glocal = Global + Local
Learning that to be in Mission is to be Active both Globally and Locally
While voting members and visitors at the 2012 NT-NL Mission Assembly are busy with their assembly schedule, you may want to just come for the day on Saturday to be a part of the Glocal Mission Gathering activities. Please do!! You will register separately as a "Glocal Participant" and pay a $35 registration fee to cover the costs of the Glocal program and box lunch. Tickets to the evening assembly banquet, if desired, are an additonal $25.

In that position Kate Warn has worked tirelessly to help improve the lives of the people (Sierra Leone is still listed as the poorest country on earth), to help expand the ELCSL, to develop worship resources for the church, to teach, preach and bring leadership to many projects involving women, children and the poor. Read Pastor Kate's blog.
God's work in mission always propels us to encounter the neighbor, particularly in the stranger. ELCA Glocal Mission Gatherings equip us for God's work in today's global and local realities as well as their "glocal" intersections. What is mission? Who is the neighbor? We will consider these questions together as they relate to our migrating and immigrating world. Come, join us for mission conversations around the realities of the world we live in today.
Accompaniment is relationships -- sharing, growing, serving together
Accompaniment is walking together in solidarity
Accompaniment is interdependence and mutuality
