DESCRIPTION:From Janelle Miller\, NT-NL Youth Ministry coordinator (ntnlyouthleaders@yahoo.com): \nNT-NL Youth Leaders & Pastors\, \nWe are excited to announce that we are collaborating to host a PEER MINISTRY LEADERSHIP TRAINING (limited to 6-7 per congregation) in January. This is an event where Pastors / Youth Leaders identify young people and invite them to attend. \nWHAT IS PEER MINISTRY? It is the story of the good Samaritan. Only instead of preaching and teaching it\, you get the skills necessary to live it! \nThree Peer Ministry Tracks offered:\nPEER MINISTRY I\nYou will enhance your skills of listening\, helping peers and communication. You will discover how caring relationships are a vital ministry. \nPEER MINISTRY II\nFor those who have completed PM I. You will learn more skills for sharing your faith\, addressing sensitive issues and dealing with difficult people. \nPEER MINISTRY III\nFor those who have completed PM I & PMII. They will apply their skills in real world scenarios\, will help lead worship and will have discussions on “now what?” this group will put the skills they have learned into practice at their schools\, churches and post graduation. \nWHAT WE WILL BE DOING THIS WEEKEND…\n**Attending peer ministry sessions\n**Worship\n**Service project\n**Social event in the community\n**Great food and fellowship \nWHAT YOUR REGISTRATION INCLUDES…\n**2 nights lodging (hotel)\n**Saturday meals (3)\, Sunday breakfast\n**Materials\n**Saturday night social event \nREGISTRATION\n**Cost is $90 if registered & paid by November 1\n**Cost is $115 if registered after November 1\n**Registration includes quad occupancy at the hotel — your own bed is available for an extra fee\n**This Leadership Event allows students to attend without an adult from their church\n**A pastor or youth leader must invite a young person to be apart of this event. \nWe will also be hosting a JUNIOR HIGH & SENIOR HIGH YOUTH GATHERING in February. \nClick here for a flyer with more details about both the January and February events.
