Today I had the opportunity to be part of two conversations about how the ELCA can live into our goals to connect with new people and communities to tell the story of the gospel and invite folks into the way of Jesus. In the morning I was on a call with our churchwide innovation team around connecting with and doing research on Gen Z (those born 1997-2012). This is now the second largest generational cohort and also one that has lived fully digital lives. It was a good conversation.

This evening I was part of our Lutheran Men In Mission board meeting. Back in December of 2020 I wrote about the work LMM is doing to intentionally work to connect with men and groups that we haven’t always connected with. I am grateful for the work of LMM. https://www.ntnl.org/bishops-message-dec-29th…/ The goal always is to learn from and grow how we in NT-NL Synod, ELCA can connect to these ministries and learn and grow. #NTNL #InMissionTogether
