Sunday December 13th I was honored to lead worship online for New Life in Christ, Duncanville. Appreciated being asked by Pastor Jeff Bergeron to fill in for Advent III. In the afternoon my kids and I joined a few members of their congregation to deliver packets to members of the congregation with items for worship online on Christmas Eve. A candle, craft, some coloring sheets and a few other treats to remind them that their congregation remembers them. All done with appropriate distancing and masks.
December 13th also is the day of St. Lucy (Santa Lucia) which we mark in my household to honor our Swedish heritage. It is also a good opportunity to talk to our children about our heritage of faith and the literal sacrifices of those who have gone before. In a time when we as a society seem so unable to sacrifice anything of our lives to care for our neighbor it was a good day to remember Lucy and her commitment to Christ and to neighbor. #NTNL #InMissionTogether
