Partners in Mission:
On Friday March 6th a fire broke out on the hill where the Jubilee Center is located in Freetown, Sierra Leone. The fire thankfully did not reach the Jubilee Center but it did destroy properties leaving 300 individuals, including 10 Lutheran families, homeless and with all their belongings destroyed. Bishop Momoh has send a request for support for these families to the congregations and people of the ELCSL. As partners in mission we hear this call and today I have authorized $10,000 to be sent to the ELCSL for this relief.
To do this we rely on the generosity of congregations and individuals who give to our funds for our partners. If you feel called I would invite you to make a donation to our designated fund for the ELCSL. You can do so on our website at this link. Choose Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sierra Leone in the drop down box.
Thank you for your work in the gospel and your support for our partners in Africa.
