Part of the role of the new director for our Briarwood Leadership Center is to challenge us in our thinking about mission and ministry. To help us think theologically about leadership and what we are doing in mission here in NT-NL. Challenging the context in which we find ourselves and helping to envision an alternative to the Prosperity Gospel so prevalent in our context. As I visit with our congregations and communities, I am more and more convinced that the prosperity gospel and its assumptions is a significant problem in our current context.
