Wednesday December 15th we were honored to have NT-NL Synod, ELCA members of the Lutheran Foundation of the Southwest board present with us. They were there, along with LFSW’s NT-NL legacy planner Morgan Schmidlin to present the annual distribution from legacy gifts managed by LFSW.
These gifts are the result of faithful planning and stewardship by individuals committed to the ministry of the synod. Included in this year’s funds also was our annual Wahlberg Scholarship Fund distribution. This scholarship is named for the Rev. Phil Wahlberg who served as bishop in Texas for the ULCA and later LCA for 36 years.
