For those who know of Holden Village it has been an incredibly difficult time for the community. Due to severe storms the road to the Village has been washed out. Last week all but 11 people were evacuated by helicopter.

The remaining 11, which included NT-NL Synod’s own Emer Kate Sanders (Trinity-FW), intended to stay. However due to more storms the village’s power generator is now unable to be used. As such all remaining staff have been evacuated.
