Our Synod Thursday prayer/check-in time is always a blessing to me. We had a smaller group today but powerful time to pray and hear each other’s needs, concerns, and joys in this time. Another way we connect and stay grounded.
Today our prayer focused deeply on our siblings in the path of Hurricane Laura. We prayed for our Lousiana neighbors in particular who have born the greatest brunt of this storm. As always, please give to Lutheran Disaster Response or send gifts to the NT-NL Disaster Fund at the synod office.
We also prayed for our sister Pastor Doris Harris, and we prayed and gave thanks for the upcoming call vote at Gloria Dei, Garlan, as they vote to call SAWL Tom Schwolert as pastor.
