A beautiful tribute and memory of the Rev. Jose (Joe) Garcia. Joe was a beloved colleague in ministry for many across the Texas synods of the ELCA and beyond. He also served at Oak Cliff Lutheran, Dallas before going into chaplaincy ministry and later on ELCA churchwide staff. A memorial service will be held at Trinity, Blanco, TX where he was a member tomorrow (Jan 5th) at 11am. He will be buried in Shive, TX at the cemetery of St. Paul Lutheran, an NT-NL Synod congregation, which closed in 2018. The cemetery association continues to maintain that ministry and witness. We give thanks for Joe’s impact in his life and his witness to Jesus Christ. He will be deeply missed. #NTNL #InMissionTogether
