It was a blessing and honor to be present at this special service; a community-wide gathering in support of children separated from families seeking asylum. I had the opportunity to share my personal story; my father was a migrant worker and brought me to the USA 36 years ago.
During the service Jewish, Muslim, and Christian faith leaders spoke about how our various faiths call us to act in love, led prayers, singing, and reflecting on the two uplifting poems; The New Colossus by Emma Lazarus, A Place Called Home by Michael Jones.
