Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Offers Curriculum Package for VBS
Lutheran Outdoor Ministries, a non-profit organization that supports the outdoor ministries of the ELCA, has a Vacation Bible School Curriculum for use by congregations. They’ve taken the preschool, lower elementary/day camp Bible studies and bundled it with the crafts, games, and graphics sections of this year’s curriculum, A Love That Never Ends, and have made it available to congregations.
The curriculum is perfect for churches looking to create continuity between the camp and VBS experience, or those simply looking for a new and creative approach to VBS. Plus, this VBS curriculum is also great for churches who are trying to be a little more green. The curriculum is downloaded once it is purchased, so churches don’t need to worry about the extra waste (or cost) that comes with buying a fancy boxed VBS set.
For more information, visit the following website www.lomnetwork.org/resources/omcurriculum.

We invite you to join us in the beautiful Colorado mountains for Luther Academy of the Rockies, Wartburg Theological Seminary’s premier Learning for Life educational program for rostered leaders and their families.
The daily rhythm of worship, mornings filled with insightful scholarly lectures and forums, afternoon free time to explore the incredible scenery, and evening fellowship opportunities will structure our time together. Meeker Park Lodge, where the Academy is held, is an old time, rustic, mountain lodge surrounded by housekeeping cabins; its natural setting lends itself well to outdoor recreation and relaxation, as well as spiritual and intellectual renewal. Learn More.
You may register and pay online! Or, you can print out a registration form and mail it, along with payment, to Wartburg Seminary. Click here for brochure package.
Registration is limited, so act quickly to reserve your spot!
Shepherd’s Canyon Retreat
If you have hit a rough spot in ministry from burn-out, stress, personal, marital, or congregational conflicts, or moral failure, a week at Shepherd’s Canyon Retreat could bring about restoration and much-needed new perspectives.
The hardest thing for a pastor to say is…..”I need help”. Please let down the guard. Give us a call. We don’t shoot the wounded. We are here to be servants to those who are serving the Lord in ministry!

2% Health Assessment Discount: What, How, and Why
What: $31,000 saved by ELCA employers in this synod
How: All congregations and organizations in our synod will earn a 2% discount on this year’s ELCA health contributions if 65% of the eligible ELCA-Primary health plan members and spouses in our synod take the Mayo Clinic health assessment between now and April 30.
Why We Need YOU: If you’re an ELCA-Primary health plan member, we need YOU to take the health assessment. Same goes for your spouse, if he or she has ELCA-Primary health benefits. YOU may be the one to push us over the 65% discount threshold and save us all 2% on all of this year’s health contributions.
New this year: To take the Mayo Clinic health assessment, access Mayo Clinic Healthy Living online directly through myPortico — no separate Mayo Clinic ID and password necessary. Go to PorticoBenefits.org/HealthyLiving for details.
What’s that? You still need MORE incentives??
Take the assessment before or during the Assembly, and you will be entered in a drawing for a $250 gift card. Fill out this form to let us know you’ve done your health-conscious duty and be entered in the drawing.
Website Feedback Survey
Like a healthy congregation, always in renewal, our website is always “in renewal.” We need your feedback to make sure we are working toward making the site usable for you and your congregations.
Please take a few minutes to complete this brief survey. The questions are open-ended; if you have a lot to say, please include it all! If you don’t have much to add, that’s fine—but please take a second to at least answer the first two questions.
If you would like to be more involved in the website redesign/restructuring process, please email Criss@ntnl.org.
