Thursday evening November 4th I spent the evening with Pastor Jim Rowe and members of Lutheran Campus Ministry at Denton as they served their community and engaged in bible study. We cooked out hotdogs and burgers for students and faculty. Provided a great opportunity for us to engage in conversation, explaining why we would simply provide a meal for neighbors for free.
Afterwards we had a bible study and conversation focused on our freedom in Christ. Drawing on Luther we discussed how we are free to serve our neighbors because Christ has set us free. It was a wonderful time to be in relationship with these young people and hear about their faith journey as well.
