NT-NL News: May 2026, First Tuesday

May 5, 2026 | NT–NL News By Anna Thompson

Message from Bishop Gronberg

Partners in Ministry:

Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen Indeed!

The Easter festival continues as we hear of the works of God through Christ and the way the church is called to respond in service and proclamation. As you continue to celebrate Easter I encourage you to reflect on how God has overcome death and all the ways the world seeks to convince us it has the power. Easter proclaims God has ultimate power and that nothing can separate us from that love in Christ Jesus.

So continue to celebrate the feast. Taking encouragement and strength to serve those in our midst, to see the marginalized and the outcast, and to proclaim in our words and deeds that God is present and has come to bring abundant life.

In Christ,

Bishop Gronberg

April Mission Support Memo

The April 2026 Mission Support memo takes us back to Palm Sunday where this year many palm waving processions continued into the afternoon with journeys through downtown areas, around state buildings, in amphitheaters and in parking lots, as we and our denominational partners cried out for justice, peace and love, during the Palm Sunday Path. The story focuses on activities in Wisconsin and specifically Northwest Synod of Wisconsin ~ learn about the day with dance, prayer, and calls to action. Also check out how to participate in the May 18 webinar on The Stewardship of AI: Benefits and Concerns. We continue to be grateful for partners and individuals who advocate for education, justice, peace and love.

Read the full memo here.

Their story is marked by the continual practice of generational innovation, each moment in history building upon the next to impact the next generation of children, families and communities.
