The Good Stewards of Faith in Flower Mound
On Sunday, Pr. Steve Kanouse presented Pr. Rusty Sullivan, and the people of Faith Lutheran Church in Flower Mound, with the Dr. Richard Lee Peterman Good Steward Award. Pr. Rusty was selected out of the over 15,000 pastors in the ELCA to receive this award.
We are so grateful for your innovative and passionate stewardship approaches and your leadership with the people of Faith! Y’all’s generosity is felt and seen in your community and throughout the NT-NL mission are! (Make sure to check the comments on the Facebook post to see a video from Savanna, Pr. Rusty’s daughter and former Briarwood intern, currently serving in Rwanda as a YAGM!)
Young Adults in Global Mission
The ELCA Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM, pronounced “ya-gum”) program invites ELCA young adults ages 21-29 into a transformative, year-long journey in international service in one of nine countries around the world. This year, we have two NT-NL YAGM doing God’s work with their hands overseas! Read more about them, and our two veteran YAGM, here!
Read how others across the ELCA are doing God’s work with their hands in Stories of Faith in Action. Have a story to share about how your congregation or ministry is living their DiscipleLife? Let me know! criss@ntnl.org.

Nepal Earthquakes: Six Month Later
We remember and pray for all those affected by the Nepal earthquakes six months ago. As a church, through Lutheran Disaster Response, we have been and will continue to respond to the immediate and long-term needs of the people of Nepal. The Nepal Earthquake: Six Months Later resource provides stories and more detail into our immediate response and a look toward the long-term work being carried out.
