Beginning Dec 1st, our synod Bishop’s Associate for Leadership Formation and Congregational Care, the Rev. Kris Totzke, will be on sabbatical. As such, at the end of staff meeting this morning we blessed her on her way with a virtual laying on of hands and prayer.

During this time she will be working on projects with a theme of discernment. Her goal is developing tools and resources to use for those in discernment of a call to ordained ministry and for congregations in discernment about their future. The plan is for these tools to be used either in retreat settings or for individual discernment journeys.

We are grateful to the NT-NL Synod Council for granting this sabbatical according to the guidelines of the synod. And for the synod staff who will share her responsibilities during this time. She will return to the office March 1st. #NTNL #InMissionTogether
