This past Sunday was #GodsWorkOurHands Sunday in the ELCA and across

NT-NL Synod, ELCA many participated. Was great to see on facebook how many communities did this work together even in the time of physical distancing.

Monday also brought another tradition when we had the annual Church of the Damascus Road Golf outing. This outing supports the prison ministry of NT-NL led by SAWL Dan Lund. Dan’s ministry to prisoners in state jails across NT-NL impacts over 5,000 men each month. His reach expanding now in the time of Covid-19 as his recovery classes and worship services are broadcast on the closed circuit tv systems in the jails. It is a ministry with a clear impact and my spouse and I are blessed to be able to support it and Dan along with many NT-NL communities.

Covid-19 challenges us and has changed us. It continues to reveal gaps and schisms in our world and lives. It also reveals our character and heart for service. Thanks to all who continue to find ways to serve in this time.#NTNL #CODR #InMissionTogether
