Instead of having assembly go into Sunday morning with worship in a ballroom, my staff and I are worshipping with local congregations. I had a great morning at St. Matthew, Waco. Met with leadership, preached, and enjoyed their beautiful worship and music. Our associate, the Rev. Kris Totzke, was at Zion, McGregor, and our DEM, the Rev. Irma Banales, was at First, Waco.

St. Matthew was a gracious host, and I enjoyed an hour of forum time with the community. They are also now hosting San Mateo, our first Spanish language mission outside the Metroplex. They are working out the details and certainly that will take some time. But already they are offering spiritual and cultural services. Grateful for their openness to this possibility. Connecting to a growing demographic in our midst.

We had a wonderful assembly. Now back to the day to day work of being #InMissionTogether #NTNL #StMatthewWaco #SanMateoWaco
