Thursday March 24th and Friday March 25th the Texas Lutheran University Choir performed concerts in congregations of the NT-NL Synod, ELCA. On Friday they were at St. John Lutheran Church, Bartlett TX where Pastor Jeremy Ullrich serves. Pastor Ullrich and his spouse Pastor Amanda Ullrich are both TLU alums.
Thursday I was able to attend the concert at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Worth. My spouse, who serves as Trinity’s Lead Pastor, also serves on the board of regents for Texas Lutheran University. It was wonderful to see a strong turnout on a weeknight for this time of music and worship.
Music, and particularly choral song, is one of the gifts our Network of ELCA Colleges and Universities have traditionally nurtured. We are grateful that the TLU choir can again tour and that they chose to come to our NT-NL area.
