Even COVID-19 couldn’t keep the Holy Spirit or the joyful celebration away from the ordination yesterday of Pr. Nick Schmidlin. He has been called to serve as Pastor for Youth and Family Ministry at Faith Lutheran in Flower Mound. He also serves as a military chaplain, and the congregation is very supportive of his need to be gone regularly for his military duties.

There was gorgeous music, tremendous community support, and the blessing of the Holy Spirit as Pr. Schmidlin received his stole, laying on of hands (by Bishop Gronberg only due to social distancing) and the charges to care for the church and the congregation. Lead Pastor Rusty Sullivan and congregational president Larry Patterson also helped with the installation portion of the service.
