As Holy Saturday comes to a close and night approaches NT-NL Synod, ELCA congregations are prepared for the Easter feast. Some will gather tonight for Easter vigil. Others early in the morning tomorrow before dawn or joyful liturgies later on Easter morning. And some will gather on Easter evening to hear again the story of the Road to Emmaus.
However we do this work of liturgy together tonight is the night of our salvation. The night in which death is defeated and life, God’s abundant life, shows forth. So as you gather know the prayers and support of your synod staff and bishop go with you. A joyous Easter to you all. Christ is Risen, Christ is Risen Indeed! Alleluia! Amen. #NTNL #InMissionTogether
