Pulpit Supply

The Synod office maintains a Pulpit Supply list of Ordained Clergy, Parish Lay Ministry graduates, Lay Professionals, and Seminary Students available to our NT-NL worshiping communities. You may request a copy of this list by emailing kelsey@ntnl.org, then you may contact leaders directly at their phone number or e-mail address listed for their availability.

Pulpit Supply Policy

Congregations requiring one-time pulpit supply are welcome to contact any of the persons on the list referenced above. If the need is for an extended period of time, please contact the Bishop’s Office. If the worship service includes the celebration of the Holy Communion, please contact an ordained person. The policy of the Synod Council for Sunday pulpit supply requires remuneration of no less than:

• $200 for single service
• $300 for two services
• $400 for three services

Travel expenses are to be reimbursed at the current IRS mileage rate.

If the preaching engagement requires overnight lodging, the congregation is expected to cover that as well.
