I’m a bit behind in my blog posts, but I wanted to acknowledge my visit to St. Peter in Malone a few weeks ago. This is a small congregation that has faithful, dedicated leaders who are committed to maintaining an ELCA Lutheran voice in their community. They’ve been fortunate to have a strong pastoral presence for almost four years in the person of Pr. Mandy Brobst-Renaud. This is her first call, which she has lovingly fulfilled while working on her Ph.D. She and her husband, Ben, also became parents to Hugo during this time. The congregation has been blessed with her leadership, some new vitality, and lively young Hugo during this time.
Mandy will be leaving in May to move to Indiana, where she will be joining the faculty at Valparaiso. This strong group of leaders is sad to see her go, but still committed to carrying on the mission of the congregation as they seek a new pastor to lead them. I’m grateful for their dedication!
