Please join me in welcoming and praying for the Rev. Tessa Moon-Leiseth as she was elected today as the new bishop of the Eastern North Dakota Synod. The bishop-elect was elected in a fully online assembly and on the fifth ballot, with 168 votes. Their learning will help us in our planning for NT-NL’s online assembly Sept 26th.

The Rev Jessica Daum received 128 votes. We give thanks for Rev. Daum and all who participated in this discernment process.

Bishop-Elect Moon-Leiseth graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, and received an M. Div from Luther Seminary, St Paul, MN, and was ordained on June 21, 1998. She is currently serving as Interim Senior Pastor at Horace Lutheran Church. #NTNL #EasternNDSynod #InMissionTogether
