Monday-Wednesday March 25-27 Briarwood Retreat Center hosted the annual gathering of the Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Executive Directors. This has been a wonderful time to show off our facility and share our vision with the wider ELCA camping/retreat/outdoor community.

On Tuesday night I was honored to be asked to help put together a panel of NT-NL Synod, ELCA young adults for conversation with the directors. The panel was moderated by Ms. Savanna Sullivan (ELCA Young Adults). So grateful for the willingness of this group to come and share openly. It will only make our work together better to have their input.

Today (Wednesday) I had lunch with the group and then had a chance to share again the vision of Briarwood and NT-NL as we develop the Briarwood Center for Leadership. #NTNL #ELCALOM #InMissionTogether

This marked the beginning of a weekend of work with young adults and for young adults. On Friday March 22 I flew to Chicago to take part in two day leadership gathering with Savanna and a small group who are committed to developing more fully our young adult ministries in the ELCA. It was a good weekend of conversation and planning. Enjoyed getting a couple runs in as well by some Chicago landmarks and worshipped at St. Luke’s-Logan Square on Sunday morning. Grateful to be given the opportunity to work towards developing better our engagement with and integration of young adults in the entire life of the church. #NTNL #elcaya #InMissionTogether
