Strategic Direction, Goal Two
Called Forward Together in Christ: ELCA Strategic Directions 2025
Our strategic directions
ELCA Strategic Directions 2025 tells the story of the church we are becoming – a church that is confident about who we are in Christ and what God is calling us to do. The directions are presented in three parts: The ELCA – who we are; What unites us as church; and, Our goals and priorities.
Here’s a preview of the SECOND goal: A church equipping people for their baptismal vocations in the world and this church
PRIORITY AREAS FOR ACTION:

Holden Village Staffing Needs
Do you enjoy spending time in nature? Are you interested in contemplating questions like, “How do we live together during times of divisiveness?” If so, you may be interested in spending a summer living and working at Holden Village. As a staff person, you will have access to miles of top-notch hiking rails right outside your front door, teaching sessions with renowned faculty (i.e., Nadia Bolz-Weber, Alan Storey, and more), and becoming part of the vibrant Holden community. Holden Village is a wilderness retreat center welcoming all people of good will into the North Cascade Mountains of Washington State. You can view our summer staffing needs here: holdenvillage.org/volunteer/key-staffing-needs.
