Bishop’s Group
In the past weeks, we witnessed the need for so many to help out in Houston after Harvey. The need will still be great in the summer of 2018. What a gift that the ELCA already is planning to bring 30,000+ young people and adults to Houston to learn, worship, and serve!
Registration began September 15! Have you gotten your plan together for the 2018 ELCA Youth Gathering in Houston? Still not sure if you have a leader or more than 3 youth able/willing to go? Then please reach out to Janelle Miller with Calvary, Richland Hills, and connect with the Bishop’s group. You may contact her via janellemiller@yahoo.com or 817-726-7031. Bishop Gronberg will be the primary leader of this group of youth in congregations with 3 or less youth. Janelle is also coordinating the leaders for this event based on their experience and balancing to match the diversity of our group. THE TIME IS NOW!!! Get on the bus to Houston next Summer!!!
Texas Flood Relief Work Day
God’s work. Our hands.
We have all seen the devastation along the Texas Gulf Coast from Hurricane Harvey. Here’s another opportunity for us to help directly.
Good Shepherd out of Bridge City, in conjunction with CrisesCleanup, will be hosting a work weekend, September 30-October 1. The work will involve removing sheet rock, cabinets, furniture, and debris from flooded houses. Basic supplies and masks will be provided.
Rejoice, Coppell, is organizing a group from NT-NL to drive down together. If you are over 18 and would like to help out that weekend, please contact Steve Cadigan via email scadigan@yahoo.com.
MEF Grants for 2018
