Today was a big day for Trinity Lutheran in Clifton, as well as for the Heart of Texas conference. We officially installed Pr. Don Wright as pastor of Trinity, and welcomed Pr. Donna Wright to the conference also. She has not yet moved here from Pennsylvania due to her commitment to her interim congregation, but we anticipate her permanent arrival a month from now. We got a taste of her ministry though as she preached at the installation service today.

Pr. Wright’s installation was held this holiday weekend because their daughter, Marica, graduated with her Masters in Social Work yesterday and they wanted to combine the celebrations to make one trip for Donna. In spite of the holiday weekend, we had good representation from neighboring congregations (both clergy and lay members,) and we even welcomed a visiting pastor from the TX/LA Gulf Coast synod who was a classmate of the Wrights at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary.
